Your guest can go to the residence for two consecutive nights (provided you have the agreement of all the roommates). If you would like them to stay longer, you should contact Housing & Residence to get permission. Safety and Security I agree to actively promote safety within the university community at all times. I will not open or disable the locking/locking mechanism of a building door and unlock any door that I find open or otherwise unsecured. I will not allow non-residents who are not my personal guests to access the flatshare and others not to. I will keep my bedroom/apartment door closed and closed if I am not in the room and I understand that I can improve my personal safety and that of my roommates by keeping the door closed and locked at all times. I agree to immediately inform a staff member of the LHSR and/or the EMS police service of dangerous conditions or behaviour that threaten the security of this or another campus flatshare. As a member of a flatshare, you agree to abide by and support the community standards set out in your agreement. All guidelines in the Residents` Manual apply to residents, residents and all clients.
We also ask you, as a conscientious member of the flatshare, to consider your neighbors and help us maintain a calm, clean and respectful community environment. Sometimes roommates find it unpleasant or unpleasant to talk directly to their roommate about problems that arise in their room or on the floor. The mediation process is a great way for roommates to address their concerns in a safe and structured way, directly and respectfully. Residence Assistants (RA`s) have been trained to allow this type of confidential meeting in an impartial, non-confrontational and non-valued manner. You will also ensure that the meeting stays on track and that the meeting rules are followed. Here is a brief overview of a typical mediation session: Students applying for double rooms or apartments are encouraged to introduce themselves as a couple or apartment. to be promoted in groups of four. Both roommates (or all four in the case of an apartment) must ask each other before Housing & Residence assembles them. Housing & Residence will assign roommates without special requests, taking into account the information contained in their application. In addition to the SMU Student Code of Conduct Policy B, the following standards are specific to roommates: I agree not to possess, use, produce, sell, share, distribute illicit drugs or controlled substances.
I understand that this standard applies to drugs, controlled substances and/or related utensils (e.g.B. water pipes or bongs) in or around EMS apartments. I understand that if I use prescription drugs or other controlled substances, I may be asked to prove that I am doing so under the supervision of a doctor.
